I used photoshop to create the final poster. Below is the first draft of the decided composition.

Tyler the Creator Poster
This is a concert poster for music artist, Tyler the Creator. The colors and imagery reflect his style and identity. He often wears colorful contrasting clothes, and includes bees in his album cover. I took colors from his clothes and used them as background and text colors. I believe that one’s style can be a big part of their identity. I made this artwork because I wanted to relate to other people’s culture other than my own.
Maps
This map depicts places I have lived or been to, that impacted me or and had fond memories of. They appear in order of when I’ve visited each place, from Tokyo to Manhattan. The things depicted on each island are what I have seen or done in those places. I made them into separate islands, because they were so different that it seemed like they were different worlds. I believed these experiences shaped my identity and culture.
Flowy, repetitive lines and the rough brush strokes in the background are used to create movement. By making the color of the circle red, it pops out from the background; overlapping shapes also create depth in the artwork.
